I haven’t posted in a while. We are selling our house. So I was pretty busy finishing a lot of last minute things without much time for documentation.
We also had an unexpected event happen involving an insurance claim. So I was wary of having anything that could be traced to me in real life before closing. I.e. Cannon fodder for an inspector to dig extra deep into, or turn into a cautionary tale for their client, my buyer. We’re a week or from closing, so I may dig up old photos and make some posts after the fact.
We also had to transfer internet service from one house to another so the server, to include this site, was offline for a week or so.
We’re into our new house now and have stability again. So services are back up and running, and there are no shortage of projects at the new place. Namely;
- Rekeying locks
- A foundation that is a few inches out of level
- Single pane windows
- A kitchen remodel
- 2 bathroom remodels
- Potentially adding a garage
It’s a fixer upper, no doubt about it. But with all the work we did on the old house, we should be able to be mortgage-free in a few days off of the profits.
